I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Pets by Mills! The communication was amazing from start to finish, with regular updates throughout the process which made it so special and exciting. The drawings are incredibly detailed and look exactly like my dogs — every little feature was captured perfectly. You can really see the care and talent that goes into each piece. The artwork was also packaged beautifully and transported with such care, arriving in perfect condition. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a meaningful, high-quality pet portrait! 🐾🤍

Pets by mills did a lovely portrait of my wire foxie that passed away last year. She was professional and communicative in the process and captured his sweetness perfectly. The detailing is amazing and helps me to remember the little things that I loved so dearly. Having something to remember him by is something that I can't thank you enough for doing.

Karinda I couldn't be happier with this commission piece. Royalty my 2 dogs: Sir Chance & Queen Gracie have been captured beautifully. Seeing them brought to life in this way is truly special and something I will treasure forever.

Hi, I’m Karinda, a professional Pet Portrait artist based in Mpumalanga, South Africa.
The name “Pets by Mills” actually came from my cat Millow, who I sadly lost a couple of months ago. Having a piece of her name in the pet portrait business is a sweet way for me to honor her.
Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mom is an artist who works primarily in oil and acrylic, and growing up around her paints, brushes, and endless canvases sparked a love for art in me. I started my creative career as a children's book illustrator (Art by Mills), something I still enjoy and maintain alongside my pet portrait work.
In 2025 I took a chance on something new and opened my pet portrait business. It started as a way to unwind and relax at the end of the day but quickly turned into a whole new business that I now love so much. I mean how lovely is it to have a job that lets me draw animals all day!
When you commission a portrait, you’re getting more than just a piece of art — you’re getting a piece made with care, built with high quality meterials and a true affection for animals. I’m grateful to do what I love and honored when people trust me to create a keepsake of a beloved companion.
